Microsoft Unveils ARM Base Windows 10 Laptops With Promising 20+ Hours Battery Life

Usually laptops and tablets on windows run on x86 processors. The processors comes from Intel and AMD. In an event in Hawaii on Tuesday Microsoft unveiled the 'Always Connected' Laptops. These laptops will be running on windows 10 with ARM-based Qualcomm's processors. The laptops are firstly come from Asus and HP. These laptops will give advantage of built-in LTE connectivity and more battery life than x86 PCs to their users. Both are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 on ARM architecture. 


First one in this new range is HP Envy x2, which is yet another convertible. It offers 20 hours active battery life with 4G LTE connectivity. It has 8 GB of LPDDR4X PoP RAM with 256 GB of internal storage. It's very thin and light weighted CNC Machined aluminium body with 6.9mm thickness. The Envy x2 is very light weighted just about 0.7 kg. For silk experience, the backlit keyboard has 1.3mm key travel. 



The second one Asus NovaGo, it has 13'' full HD display while Envy x2 has a smaller 12.3'' WUXGA+ display cause that makes it better to be used as tablet. Asus NovaGo is coupled with 4 GB/8 GB RAM and 64 GB, 128GB, 256 GB of UFS storage. It has two USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports, and a HDMI port. NovaGo runs on windows 10s with some new features like Windows Ink, Windows Hello and Cortana. It weights 1.39 kg. eSIM and Nano-SIM will be available options. 

Both are expected to run a modified version of Office 365. Getting availability of Asus is not informed yet, but the price of 4 GB/64 GB model will cost $499, while 8 GB/256 GB will cost $799.
